May be he thought that this would mean a free ticket for his second re-election and third term in office. Yet, if they have been following the rebel leader as they claimed and listening to his conversations, why not to wait and find out more and catch everyone in their own lies at the right place at the right time?

Democratic Security is a doctrine by which the FARC guerrillas, who have never governed the country, are blamed for all the social diseases of the Colombia. The list of diseases FARC are responsible for according to this doctrine are, high illiteracy rate, lack of social security, lack of proper education, high unemployment rate, lack of social justice, lack of justice, lack of workers protection, lack of human rights, endemic political corruption and so on.

As a consequence of this doctrine, it is understood that there cannot be progress in Colombia until the root cause of all these diseases is eradicated. Therefore, the goal of the doctrine of democratic security is the eradication of the cause of the aforementioned social plagues, in this case FARC.

To achieve these objectives, the doctrine establishes the development of a multi-strategy plan called Plan Colombia and which will be developed in several stages. The strategies covered in the first stage of this plan include among others the reinforcement of the anti-communist actors such as community self defense groups armed and trained by the government with the help of its allies; these actors will act autonomously and will have all the necessary logistic support to enable them to fight illegal communist groups; the fumigation of illegal crops and the confiscation of land and transfer of this land to the corporations; a collective re-education plan with the help of the likeminded media in order to build consensus; intimidation of any actor who disagrees with the doctrine; the establishment of a system of free (slave) labor to fight unemployment and control the population.

The second stage of the plan is aimed at ensuring the continuation of plan Colombia. This will be achieved by a program of enculturation of the doctrine, for which it will be required to research new root causes of the social diseases. These will be primarily found outside the borders of the country in order to guarantee the geographical expansion of the doctrine and its consolidation. The confrontation of these foreign actors will be used to raise awareness of the importance of nationalism in the enculturation of the doctrine.

The doctrine will be permanently nourished by the appearance of new root causes of social diseases. This will eliminate the need of directly tackling the social unbalances.
