The International Criminal Court is not a joker used to threat, to get rid of someone or simply to show you’re doing something.

The statements by Colombian president Álvaro Uribe, ratified on the OAS by its ambassador Camilo Ospina, regarding to file a lawsuit against Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez to the International Criminal Court “for sponsoring and founding genocides”, leave a lot to be desired.

Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela

The killing of FARC guerrilla’s number 2 commander, Raúl Reyes, triggered an apparently unexpected diplomatic crisis between Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. As hours pass by, Colombia crisis with Venezuela and Ecuador gets worse and the initial good sense by Colombian government is turning into a rowdy spirit which does nothing to its solution.

Colombia will not send troops to borders to Ecuador and Venezuela

Two days after the killing of FARC’s number two commander Luis Édgar Devia aka Raúl Reyes, who was in a camp inside Ecuador, Colombian government said Monday morning in a statement that "it will not make troop movements to the borders" with Ecuador and Venezuela because "Colombia does not have a warmonger tradition and its only interest is to recover its internal public safety".

Luis Édgar Devia Silva, aka Raúl Reyes, the number 2 commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), has been killed by security forces, Colombian Defence Minister Juan Manuel Santos said Saturday morning.
